Susan Ellis moved to Thatcham in 1983. She holds a Joint Honours degree in History and Archaeology and a PG Certificate in the Archaeology of Standing Buildings. She has a long-standing interest in history, heritage and architectural archaeology. She is currently (2018) Treasurer of Thatcham Historical Society (THS), Secretary of the Forum, and on Thatcham Town Council's Heritage Working Party. She now lives in Midgham.

Teresa King was born in Hever, Kent, and has lived in Hever, London and Cardiff before moving to Newbury in 1976. In 1983 she was awarded a B Ed Hons degree from Oxford majoring in History. With a lifelong interest in history and local affairs she is active in local organisations, a founder member of Newbury Amateur Astronomical Society, a member of Neighbourhood Watch, Governor of 2 schools, Parish Councillor of Greenham PC, and a founder member and Vice Chair of the Forum.
