A 17th Century Christmas

This talk by Tim Healey presents a vibrant portrait of Christmas in a turbulent age. There are Lords of Misrule, Twelfth Night Revels, wassails, Boars Head feast, frost fairs on the frozen Thames, and a Puritan ban on Christmas itself.

A freelance broadcaster and writer, Tim Healey also directs the 17th century costume band, The Oxford Waits.
