The Dovecotes and Pigeon Lofts of Old Berkshire

In the middle ages, pigeons and doves were a valuable fod resource and dovecotes are still seen as garden featires. The Berkshire Archaeology Reserach Group (BARG) ran a research project led by Dr Andrew Hutt to survey these structures within the boundaries of the old West Berkshire (pre-1974), and today's talk by Dr Hutt reports on the results.

Non members £3, refreshments. The meeting takes place in the upstairs room of the 17th century cloth hall, and there is a lift for anyone who needs it.
