Brian Sylvester has been Newbury's town crier since 1999, is chairman of the Friends of Newtown Road Cemetery, past president and training officer of the Guild of Toastmasters, a Freeman of the City of London, and a Freemason. He will talk about the history of mayors and town criers with specific reference to Newbury.
