The West Berkshire Heritage Forum AGM was held on a very wet evening at the Frank Hutchings Hall, Thatcham, Members of the Forum representing local heritage/history societies and parish/town councils, attended. The business of the AGM was followed by presentations by Ros Clow on the work of the Friends of Newtown Road Cemetery (Newbury), Beth Asbury on the Historic Enveronment Record - now a legal requirement for local authorities, and by Phil Wood on the multitude of Victorian postboxes scattered around the West Berkshire countryside, and their importance in defining the development of the local postal service.
