The small conservation village of Hampstead Norreys nestles in an area of outstanding beauty in the lovely Berkshire Downs. It has an ancient and interesting history, dating from pre-Norman times, and much of the centre of the village reflects its past through its unique collection of old buildings, barns, pathways and woodland. Preserving these for future generations to enjoy is an ongoing process and we are very grateful to the wonderful team of volunteers who give of their time to help.
The projects completed involve a wide variety of different elements of heritage conservation; including research, project management, census compiling, oral history and "walks and talks". A few of the examples of the work completed by the heritage group are shown below and you can find details by clicking on the pictures.
