Grubby Hands and Scraped Knees: A skip through the history of children's play outdoors.
Do come and join us at Berkshire Gardens Trust’s Spring Lecture at Purley Barn on the evening of Friday 25th March and perhaps relive some childhood memories and stories at the same time! Linden Groves will take us on a fun and entertaining ‘romp’ through history from the 18th century onwards, exploring how different eras have enjoyed playing in and visiting historic parks and gardens. The event starts with a buffet and drinks from 7pm and a short tribute to Charles Elly, BGT’s previous chairman, who loved children and gardens, before the lecture at 8pm. For more information please see the attached flyer, or visit the website.
Tickets for the lecture are £15 for members and £18 for non-members.
