Local History Hour - Marginalised lives in localities - Zoom Talk

This month, on Local History Hour, David Killingray and Anna Cusack explore the lives of those marginalised by society. History records the complex interweave of people's lives and events. Wjat is recorded depends on the recorders. Inevitably much has been excluded or overlooked in local history, as for example, politics, women, children, religious belief, and ethnic minorities.

David's talk focuses on people of African origin and descent in British localities 1500 to 1950. Anna's talk uses crime and execution to discover marginalised individuals and their stories in eighteenth century London.

There will be a Q&A session and discussion after the talks.

The talks are free for British Association for Local History members, or £5 for non-members. Please sign in via the BALH website: https://www.balh.org.uk/localhistoryhour
