Explore a normally closed off part of the Museum, the attic of the Cloth Hall. The Kennet Valley Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers will be on hand to demonstrate traditional skills, giving you a flavour of the original purpose of the Cloth Hall.
Explore a normally closed off part of West Berkshire Museum, the attic of the Cloth Hall. Only a small number of people will be allowed into the Cloth Hall and attic at any one time. Please note: the attic is accessed via a fairly steep and narrow staircase.
There will be some portable interpretation material for you to read before or while exploring the attic. And members of Kennet Valley Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers (KVGSWD) will be on hand on the first floor of the Cloth Hall, demonstrating traditional skills such as spinning and weaving, giving you a flavour of the original purpose of the Cloth Hall.
