Dr David Peacock will focus on the Newbury area in the Anglo-Saxon period, with themes including the early cemetery at East Shefford, the standing building now part of Wickham Church, local charters and place names. It takes a broad view of six centuries of village history.
Doors open at 2pm, talks start at 2.15pm. Members free, visitors £3.
