The Veness Sisters

Louise and Yvonne Veness ran the Newbury Wildlife Hospital, caring for sick and injured wildlife brought to them by the police and the public. They lived in the Lodge at the Newtown Road Cemetery. Ros Clow gives a talk on using the internet to research the lives of people who lived in the 20th century, people who do not have a straightforward story.

The Club meets in the Cloth Hall upstairs (lift access). Members free of charge, visitors £3. Refreshments available after the talk at the Museum cafe downstairs.
