Heritage Walk around Thatcham

Dr Nick Young will lead a heritage walk starting at St Mary's Church at 2pm, and finishing at the Old Bluecoat School. The walk will highlight some of Thatcham's histroy, from a medieval moated site, the church itself, a workhouse, forgotten pubs, almshouses and more. Finishing at the Old Bluecoat School (formerly the Chapel of St Thomas the Martyr) where the building will be open for attendees to enjoy refreshments and look through various materials including old photographs of Thatcham, timelines and other information.
