CANCELLED Archaeology in Berkshire 2020: Day School

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED OWING TO THE CURRENT CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC

This day school brings together professional archaeologists, archaeological societies and those interested in archaeology in Berkshire and surrounding counties to hear reports about the latest projects. Including news from East and West Berkshire and the Portable Antiquities Scheme, plus talks on investigations at:

Silchester Roman Baths Project; Boxford Mud Hole; Old Windsor, Saxon & Early Norman Settlement revisited; Tree ring analysis on some Newbury buildings; Rare Medieval tile kilns in Reading; Cold War archaeology at AWE; Ankerwyke Priory

Parking for the disabled is adjacent to the hall and there are several public car parks. Newbury railway station is a ten minute walk away. Bring a packed lunch, or eat in local restaurants and pubs.
