This meeting will not be taking the form originally planned and the talk by Jane Burrell on Newbury Art and Artists that was advertised on the website for a while will now take place in September. Instead the chairman, David Peacock, will be giving a presentation about, and then leading a discussion on, West Berkshire Council's draft Conservation Area Appraisal for Newbury town centre. There will also be an opportunity to bid for books from the collection of Jeremy & Elke Holden-Bell at the meeting. A list of those available is included at the end of the attached bulletin and they will be available for inspection before the meeting, from about 7:15pm. If you are interested in one of the books and cannot make the meeting, feel free to put in a bid, and if it does not sell on the day, we will get back to you.
Admission to Society events is free for Members £2.50 for visitors.
