This talk will focus on the objects which museum collections volunteer Tom Allen chose for the Volunteers Choice special exhibition, explaining why he chose them. He'll centre on material relating to Captain Robert Hawkes and itsconnection to his time at the Royal Logistics Corps Museum in Worthy Down.
This talk complements the Volunteers Choice exhibition.
Tom Allen has worked in museums since 2008, mostly with military collections, and has written several articles for 'Soldiers of the Queen' published by the Victorian Military Society.
The talk is free but pre-booking is essential. Bookings can be made online or at the Museum. Booking closes at 4pm on 11th February.
