Boxford History Project received £62,700 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for ‘Revealing Boxford’s Ancient Heritage’: a three year community archaeology project under professional archaeological guidance around Boxford Village. Roman finds from the initial excavations culminated in the discovery of a section of a Roman mosaic, and the 2019 season uncovered the remainder of one of the most spectacular mosaics found in England. A new book The Boxford Mosaic is available in local bookshops.
