Berkshire Local History Association AGM 2026

This year we are pleased to be guests of the Hedgerley Local History Society, which will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2026. The AGM will be held at Hedgerley Memorial Hall, Kiln Lane, Hedgerley, Buckinghamshire, SL2 3UU.

The hall will be open from 10.30am for societies wishing to set up displays.
Refreshments will be available from 11.00am, and AGM business will begin promptly at 11.30am.
This will be followed by a talk on the history of Hedgerley, presented by Julian Hunt.

After lunch, there will be an optional visit to the Kedermister Library, a unique 17th-century library attached to Langley Church (St Mary’s Road, Langley, Slough SL3 7EN).
Places for this visit are limited to 30 and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. A suggested donation of £5 per person is requested. Parking is available at the Red Lion public house, opposite the church.

Transport
The easiest way to travel is by car. Hedgerley is close to Junction 2 of the M40, with parking for approximately 20 cars at the Memorial Hall, so car sharing is encouraged.

Refreshments and Lunch
Tea and coffee will be available on arrival and at lunchtime. A finger buffet lunch will be provided at a cost of £5 per person.
Advance booking is required for catering — please indicate the number of people requiring lunch when you book.

Please book by Tuesday 24 March 2026.
If you have any questions or difficulties, contact our Secretary, Jo Alexander-Jones, at secretary@blha.org.uk.
